Bayside is a unique community supports program dedicated to expanding independent living skills and community connections for people with intellectual disabilities. The goal of the program is to work with participants over a two year period to expand their abilities to live a more independent life.
We are located in an apartment setting in Yarmouth, ME. We use the apartment and surrounding community to work on independent living skills, and learn how to navigate and access the community.
Bayside is a two year long program that has two daily sessions that run from 9:00am –1:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday.
Each week participants work on grocery shopping, cooking, banking, cleaning, navigating the community, exercise, volunteering, budgeting, menu planning, social skills and more.
Space is limited to 8 participants per session, we have rolling admissions and are always accepting applications.
